Kangana Ranaut's First Parliament Speech: Demand from Mandi Residents

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut is in the news these days. Kangana Ranaut gave her first speech in Parliament after winning the election. In this speech, she talked about the 'extinction' of tribal music and folk art of Himachal.

Let us tell you that on Thursday, July 25, 2024, Kangana Ranaut shared the video of her first speech in Parliament on Instagram and Twitter. After thanking the Hon'ble Speaker for giving her the opportunity to speak before the Parliament on behalf of the people of Mandi, Kangana Ranaut said, "In Mandi, there are various art forms that are on the verge of extinction. We have an indigenous manufacturing technique called Kath-Kuni in Himachal Pradesh, sheep skin is used to make various types of clothes, such as jackets, caps, shawls, and sweaters. These are considered valuable in countries outside India, but here they are becoming extinct. We should talk about what steps are being taken to promote them".

Kangana Ranaut further said, "I would also like to say that the folk music of Himachal Pradesh, especially the tribal music of Spiti, Kinnaur, and Bharmour, and their folk and art forms are also on the verge of extinction. So, what are we doing for them?" Sharing this video, Kangana Ranaut wrote, "Today I got the first opportunity to talk about Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) in Parliament".

High court issued notice to Kangana 

Let us tell you that the Himachal Pradesh High Court on Wednesday, July 25, 2024, issued a notice to Kangana, BJP's Lok Sabha member from Mandi. A Kinnaur resident had filed a petition to cancel Kangana's election on the ground that his nomination papers to contest from the Lok Sabha constituency were allegedly rejected wrongly. Issuing the notice, Justice Jyotsna Rewal directed Kangana to file a reply by August 21. She won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat by defeating Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh by 74,755 votes. She got 5,37,002 votes, while Vikramaditya got 4,62,267 votes.

Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' will be released on September 6 

 
Talking about Kangana Ranaut's film, the actress will be seen in the film Emergency. In the film Emergency, Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. Apart from Kangana Ranaut, actors like Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, and late Satish Kaushik will be seen in the film. Made under the banner of Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, the music of this film has been composed by Sanchit Balhara, while the story and dialogues have been written by Ritesh Shah. 'Emergency' will be released in theaters on 6 September 2024.
