Let us tell you that on August 20, 2024, filmmaker Karan Johar shared a long post praising Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's film Stree 2. Sharing the post, he wrote, "The tremendous blockbuster success of Stree 2 is not just a celebration for @maddockfilms, but it should be seen as a celebration of Hindi cinema and Indian mainstream cinema. In the last few years, Hindi cinema has been under scrutiny for facing box office challenges.

Karan Johar continued his statement and wrote, "The post-pandemic audience is evolving and at times difficult to assess... But the mega success of Stree 2 has not only validated the power of a solid story and grounded content, but also confirmed that tremendous conviction, courage and focus on concept, story and deep engagement with the audience will pay rich dividends at the ticket window! The success also confirms that films are only about the content creator! Stree 2 is all about @maddockfilms and @amarkaushik and @officialjiostudios and the writing team @nirenbhatt... Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao's film Stree 2 has made a box office collection of 37 crores on the 5th day of its release. On Sunday, this figure was around 58 crores. Talking about the total collection of the film Stree 2, Stree has made a total collection of 241 crores.

The film is produced under the banner of Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan Maddock Films. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film once again brings back the team of Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. Stree, released in the year 2018, was a blockbuster in the horror comedy genre.
