At the same time, Karan Johar is now set to launch the 24th debut filmmaker of Dharma Productions as he has announced his next film (Karan Johar announces new film), which many believe to be Kesari 2. Let us tell you that Karan Johar is ready to launch the 24th debutant filmmaker of Dharma Productions. But so far the producer has not revealed the name of the project. Karan Johar also shared a note taking a dig at trolls for the nepotism tag. Sharing this note, Karan Johar wrote, "When I stepped into an active role in Dharma with Kal Ho Na Ho in 2003, I started producing films. The idea was to empower filmmakers and storytellers so that they could move forward. We did it right. We did it wrong, but the intention was always to present stories and films that we believed in. The purpose was only to entertain, get appreciation or enjoy films".

Continuing his point Karan Johar further added, “I am very proud to say that our next offering is the 24th debut filmmaker we have introduced to Hindi cinema! (Fun fact for trolls: 90% of them are 'outsiders') I rarely write notes before a film's release, but few films excite me, energise me and inspire me the way this film's process has”.

Along with this, Karan Johar said, "Our associate producers and debutant director have been on this film's journey for 4 years. The director did nothing but work relentlessly on his film to deal with the pandemic delays and other unforeseen circumstances. I am inspired by the team of actors and technicians who have given so much constant support and love to the film and the team. No one can predict commercial success, but I can say with all my heart that this film is one of Dharma's proudest films! I say this as a filmmaker and a viewer. I pray for the team that the audience gets carried away by their passion for films! Karan Johar".

The film 'Kesari' was released on 21 March 2019

The film 'Kesari' is an Indian Hindi-language action-war film written and directed by Anurag Singh. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Sunir Khetrapal under the banners of Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, Azure Entertainment and Zee Studios. In the film, Akshay played the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army in the most brutal final battle in history. Akshay Kumar is seen in the lead role in the film, while Parineeti Chopra, Mir Sarwar, Vansh Bhardwaj, Jaspreet Singh, Vivek Saini and Vikram Kochhar have played supporting roles. The film Kesari was released in theaters on 21 March 2019.
