Khalid Muhammad Death: Producer-director Khalid Muhammad died on the evening of 9 June 2025 in Bombay. Khalid Muhammad was the brother of actress Farida Jalal. Khalid Muhammad produced and directed Nargis after Zeba Bakhtiar's film Henna. Some of Khalid Muhammad's notable films (Khalid Muhammad Films) include Fiza (2000), Zubeida (2001), Tehzeeb (2003), and Silsila (2005).
Khalid Mohammed also wrote the screenplay for films directed by Shyam Benegal such as Mammo, Sardari Begum and Zubeida. Khalid Mohammed has written several articles for The Wire, Firstpost, Quint, Variety, India Today and DNA India. He has also written the screenplays for three films of Shyam Benegal - Mammo, Sardari Begum and Zubeida. Mohammed later made a documentary "The Master" on Shyam Benegal. Mohammed also wrote the play "Kennedy Bridge".
