Kamal R Khan opened fire at a residential building

According to Oshiwara police, the shooting occurred on January 18th at Nalanda Society in Andheri (West), where writer-director Neeraj Kumar Mishra and model Prateek Baid live. Two bullets were recovered, one on the second floor of the building and the other on the fourth floor. Investigators initially struggled to determine the source of the gunfire, as CCTV footage from the area yielded no clues. Officials said forensic analysis later revealed the shots may have been fired from Kamal R Khan 's nearby bungalow.

Meanwhile, Kamal R Khan was detained for questioning on Friday night and later arrested after he confessed to firing two rounds from his licensed gun. Police have registered a case against Khan under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act. He remains in custody and an investigation is underway to determine whether the firing was accidental or intentional.
