NCP leader Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan Siddiqui and Bollywood actor Salman Khan have received death threats. After Baba Siddiqui's death, Zeeshan Siddiqui and Salman Khan received death threats on call. Police have also registered a case based on a complaint filed by Zeeshan Siddiqui's office from Bandra East constituency. In this case, Mumbai Police has arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida.
Police arrested a man from Noida
Let us tell you that a 20-year-old man has been arrested from the Sector 39 area of Noida for allegedly threatening to kill Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui. Zeeshan Siddiqui is the son of late Baba Siddiqui who was shot dead on October 12. Mohammad Tayyab alias Gurfan is currently in the custody of Mumbai Police and has been kept on transit remand.
Salman Khan received threatening messages
According to police sources, Zeeshan Siddiqui's office in Bandra received threatening messages on Friday, targeting both him and Salman Khan and demanding ransom. Following this, an employee at Siddiqui's office filed a police complaint, following which an FIR was registered. Investigations soon identified Mohammed Tayyab as the person responsible for the threats, resulting in his arrest. Earlier, the Mumbai Police had detained Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mousin, 24, a vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur, in connection with a separate threatening message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp helpline. The message demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore.
Baba Siddiqui was murdered on 12 October
Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead on October 12, 2024, when he was leaving the office of his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. Not only this, 6 days after the murder of Baba Siddiqui i.e. on October 18, Salman again received a death threat. After which Mumbai Police deployed an escort vehicle behind Salman Khan's official car, as well as Special Reserve Police Force (SRPF) has been deployed outside his Bandra and Panvel residences.
