Manoj Kumar Last Rites: Veteran Actor's Funeral Tomorrow, Son Shares Details!

Manoj Kumar Death: Veteran actor and film director Manoj Kumar passed away in Mumbai at the age of 87. There is a wave of mourning in the industry due to the death of the actor. Now Manoj Kumar 's son Kunal Goswami has told about his father's death. Along with this, he said that Manoj Kumar's last rites will be performed on April 5. 

Manoj Kumar's last rites will be performed tomorrow

Let us tell you that Manoj Kumar's son Kunal Goswami said, "I am Kunal Goswami, unfortunately, my father Manoj Goswami has passed away at 3.30 am today at Kokila Ambani Hospital. He was ill for a long time. But he fought everything very bravely and God's grace is with him. It is the grace of Shirdi Baba that he has left this world peacefully. His last rites will be performed tomorrow, on the morning of April 5. Thank you all. He was ill for many years and after two months he was going to be 88 years old. But he died at the age of 87. When asked who he used to talk to in his last days, he said, he used to talk to us, his grandchildren and all his younger relatives. He used to talk to all of them. He was very happy. He just had a little pain due to age".

Manoj Kumar died of a heart attack

For your information, let us tell you that according to the medical report, the cause of death of Manoj Kumar was identified as acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock due to a severe heart attack. Reports also confirmed that Manoj was suffering from decompensated liver cirrhosis for the last few months, which contributed to the decline in his health. He was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025 after his condition deteriorated. Manoj was especially known for his patriotic films. The actor was nicknamed 'Bharat Kumar'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning expressed grief over the demise of veteran actor-director Manoj Kumar on his X handle. PM Modi tweeted on the actor's demise, "Deeply saddened by the demise of great actor and filmmaker Shri Manoj Kumar ji. He was an icon of Indian cinema, especially remembered for his patriotic fervor, which was also reflected in his films. Manoj ji's works awakened a sense of national pride and will continue to inspire generations. My condolences are with his family and fans in this hour of grief. Om Shanti".
