In fact, Kaveri Kapoor said in her recent interview that she is excited to work with her father as well as other experienced actors like Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah. She said, "I am going to be a part of Masoom 2 where I will get a chance to work with my father as well as other experienced stars. I am very excited about it. Also, no one knows me better than my father, so he will bring out the best in me. I am desperate to learn from him. Of course, it is a bit scary because I am going to be like a child on the set. I am sure they will always be ready to help me, teach me and guide me".

Kaveri Kapoor further added, "I am very lucky that I got a chance to work with my father. Although he is my father, I just see him as my little teddy bear. If I take a step back and look objectively, he is like a cinematic genius".

Kaveri Kapoor spoke on the debate on nepotism

Kaveri Kapoor also spoke about the nepotism debate and said, "I understand there is a certain frustration that outsiders are not getting the opportunities they deserve compared to those who come from film families. I understand it can be frustrating and I would feel the same if I put myself in their shoes. But on the other hand, a doctor's child becomes a doctor, a lawyer's child becomes one. So nepotism exists in every field. All my life, I wanted to pursue music and writing. Just art. When music is my true passion, it would be foolish not to take up the opportunities that come my way. If acting is my passion, something I am honest about and it makes me happy, then I would want to do it all my life. Kaveri added, "People who call us 'nepo babies', I ask them if they were in our position and got the same opportunities that we got because of family, wouldn't they take them up too? Maybe they would do that."
