The press conference for the upcoming film Mere Husband Ki Biwi starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh took place in New Delhi on Tuesday, February 18th. Along with the stars, comedian Harsh Gujral was also present at the event.

At the press conference, Bhumi Pednekar looked stunning in a pink designer dress paired with a boho-style choker. Rakul Preet Singh turned heads in a stylish black crop top and blue pants. Arjun Kapoor attended the event in a black suit, while Harsh Gujral kept it casual in a white outfit.

About the film's title

During the press conference, Arjun Kapoor spoke about the film's title. He said, “The title is very intriguing. When I first heard the script, I was really interested in the title. It builds curiosity. But when you watch the film, you'll enjoy it even more."

Arjun on returning to comedy

When asked about when he would return to comedy after this film, Arjun responded, "Comedy is a genre we all love to watch in cinemas, especially family comedies. There’s nothing better than making people laugh. I've done action, drama, and comedy in my career. I’ve already done Mubarakan and have more comedy films lined up in the future, but I can't reveal them yet."

If the cast could define their characters with a song

The cast was asked what song they would choose to define their characters from the film. Bhumi picked the iconic song “Bijli Girane Main Hoon Aayi” from Mr. India starring Sridevi. Harsh, who plays Arjun's friend in the film, chose the song “Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Todenge,” given that his character is responsible for getting Arjun's character married twice. Rakul Preet picked "  khambe jaisi khadi hai" from the film Dil for her character. And, the song "Locha-E-Ulfat Ho Gaya" from 2 States was chosen for Arjun’s character.

When asked whether they found it hard to control their laughter while shooting a comedy film, Arjun admitted that it’s tough. "But we have to control it because we need to deliver it to the audience. On set, we shoot seriously, and yes, when a good shot comes out, everyone claps."

Harsh’s debut in acting

Harsh was asked about his transition from stand-up comedy to acting. He said, "I've been doing stand-up comedy for 8 years. This transition made me realize I am a very natural actor. It feels like a dream. I believe that the comedy I’ve been doing for years led to me getting this comedic role. You’ll see the 8 years of stage experience reflected on the screen."

Arjun praises Harsh

Arjun praised Harsh, saying, "Harsh has come into this industry on his own, and that’s a huge achievement. I’m very happy for him, and he has inspired many people."

Rakul appreciates Harsh’s efforts

Rakul shared that Harsh worked really hard on the song Ik Wari for the film. “He practiced the song all night in his room, and when we saw him dance during the shoot, we were amazed."

Arjun talks about his upbringing

In response to a question about his upbringing, Arjun said, “I was raised to face situations head-on, not run away from them. I tackle challenges directly."

Rakul shared that through this film, she has developed a strong friendship with Bhumi, something not often seen between two actresses. “But we have formed a sisterly bond,” she added. “If it comes to fitness, fashion, or food, we’d love to do it together."

Harsh-Arjun’s bond

Harsh spoke about his growing bond with Arjun, saying, “Over the years, I’ve probably spoken more to Arjun than any woman! I constantly message him. Our bond keeps growing." Arjun added, “I care for Harsh. Even though I sometimes get strict with him, it’s all to help him perform better.”

The film Mere Husband Ki Biwi starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh, and Harsh Gujral will hit cinemas on February 21.
