MM Baig:  Very sad news is coming from the entertainment industry. Renowned filmmaker MM Baig, formerly the father of child star Baby Guddu (MM Baig dies) and known as the director of films like Razia Sultan and Chhoti Bahu, was found dead at his home, his publicist Hanif Zaveri confirmed. He was around 70 years old. MM Baig may have remained behind the camera, but his contributions to Hindi cinema were significant. His passing is a huge loss to the film industry.

Did MM Baig commit suicide?

In fact, Hanif Javeri told PTI, " MM Beg had been ill for a long time. Since he had not left the house for four-five days, the neighbours complained to the police about a foul smell coming from his house. The police opened the door, found Beg Sahab's body, and informed his daughter about it. They later took his body to Cooper Hospital for postmortem around 1:30-2:00 in the morning. He was a lovely man. I pray for the peace of his soul."

MM Baig began his film career as an assistant director to veterans like J. Om Prakash, Vimal Kumar, and Rakesh Roshan. He played key roles in films like "Aadmi Khilona Hai," "Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni," "Karz Chukna Hai," and "Kala Bazaar." As an independent director, he directed "Masoom Gawah" (still unreleased), starring Naseeruddin Shah, and "Chhoti Bahu" (1994), starring Shilpa Shirodkar.

Hanif Zaveri shared an interesting anecdote about helping Hrithik Roshan with dialogue delivery and voice modulation long before his debut film, "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai." He was adept at the art of effective dialogue delivery and prepared Hrithik for it.
