Latest News: Mahabharata actor Mukesh Khanna recently expressed his concern over Ranbir Kapoor being cast in the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film Ramayan. He said that Ranbir's previous roles, especially in Animal, could negatively impact the audience's perception of him playing the revered character of Lord Ram, adding, "The actor you are casting should not have a life that is against Ram."
One should not be against Ram
In an interview, Mukesh Khanna was asked about the casting of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Initially, the veteran actor was hesitant to comment, saying that if he did, he would be accused of commenting on everything and everyone, which had previously affected his reputation.
He said, "The actor you are casting should not be against Ram in his life. Our Kapoor (Ranbir Kapoor) is the torchbearer of the family, a very good actor. His life is also not such that you can speak against Ram. He has just done Animal, and in that film his negative personality was highlighted. I hope this matter will not be affected by this." Khanna also said, "If you make Ramayana, then there will be comparisons with Arun Govil, and that will definitely happen. If you make Bhishma Pitamah, then there will be comparisons with Mukesh Khanna, whether you want it or not, because he has been made an icon."
He also commented on Sonakshi
Shaktimaan Mukesh Khanna always remains in the headlines due to his statements. Mukesh Khanna had commented on Shatrughan Sinha's upbringing. After which Sonakshi Sinha also reprimanded Mukesh Khanna. After Sonakshi Sinha, now her father and actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has also given a befitting reply to Mukesh Khanna for questioning his upbringing.
