Let us tell you that actor Mukesh Khanna, who recently held a bizarre press conference over the entire outfit of his iconic character Shaktimaan, has clarified some of the statements he made at the event. Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), the actor wrote that he cannot decide who will take over the responsibility of Shaktimaan from him, and stressed that he had no intention of insulting Ranveer Singh by calling the press conference.

Actually, in the press conference, Mukesh Khanna was asked if the news of Ranveer Singh being made to wait for hours in his office is true. He said, "No. I did not force him to wait. He sat for three hours because he wanted to do so. He came to my office, we enjoyed each other's company. He is a brilliant actor, he has amazing energy. But I decide who will play the role of Shaktimaan. Producers cast actors, an actor cannot cast a producer. You come to my office and say that you want to become Shaktimaan, this is not allowed!"

Mukesh Khanna further said that Ranveer Singh is still desperate to play this character. Talking about this, he further said, "You will say that a big name is needed to play the role of Shaktimaan, but this is not true. You must have a face to play the role of Shaktimaan. Tell me, why did Akshay Kumar not act like Prithviraj Chauhan? He wore a wig and fake mustache." 

After the press conference, Mukesh Khanna gave some clarifications about his comments in a social media post. He said, "I have come to clarify the misconception of a section of my audience that through this song and press conference, I have come to tell the world that I will become the next Shaktimaan. This is completely wrong. Let me explain." 

The show Shaktimaan was aired from 1997 to 2005  

 Mukesh Khanna continued his point and further said, "First of all, why should I say that I will be the next Shaktimaan. I am already Shaktimaan. There will be another Shaktimaan only when there is a Shaktimaan. And I am that Shaktimaan. There cannot be another Shaktimaan without me. Because as Shaktimaan I have to create the legacy of Shaktimaan. Secondly, I have not come to prove or show that I am better than Ranveer Singh or anyone who has played the role of Shaktimaan. Be the next Shaktimaan". Let us tell you that the television show Shaktimaan aired from 1997 to 2005. Sony Pictures India announced the Shaktimaan film in 2022. Since then Ranveer has been linked to the role, while Minnal Murali filmmaker Basil Joseph was rumored to direct.
