Naini Kazmi Honored at Lord's Cricket Ground, London
Lyricist and film writer Naini Kazmi's name has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records. The 23rd edition of the Guinness Book of World Records 'Change Makers of the World' was recently held at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. This Change Makers event included dignitaries from Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Africa, the USA, Australia, and the UK. Naini Kazmi from India has been awarded this honor for writing 800 hymns.
Naini Kazmi: A Literary Legacy in 800 Hymns
Naini Kazmi, who is active in carrying forward the tradition of Abdul Rahim Khan Khana, Raskhan, and Malik Mohammad Jayasi, among the established writers in creating literature from the Muslim community, has been included in this record book for writing 800 hymns. Naini Kazmi has been associated with the Screen Writers Association for a long time. She is associated with Bollywood as a film writer, songwriter, and album writer. She has received Nari Nirupam and Mother Teresa awards from the Uttar Pradesh government.
Naini Kazmi: From Nagina to Film Writing Fame
Naini Kazmi, originally from Nagina (Saramir), Bijnor, came to Mumbai in 1997 with her father poet Mehmood Kazmi to write for films and has been active in film writing since then. Her brother Dr. Alamgir is also a poet. Naini Kazmi is also associated with the film 'A Freedom Fighter', a film based on the Bai Bagh massacre that took place in Nagina in 1857. The poster of this film was also launched at Lord's Cricket Ground.
The chief guest of the Change Makers of the Word event was Professor Satish Uganda (Mayor) and the program director was Dr. Parin Somani, who presented the Guinness Book of Records trophy and calendar to writer Naini Kazmi. People from the film industry and the Film Writers Association are congratulating Naini Kazmi, who is soft-spoken and a supporter of serious writing.
