In 2019, soon after the Pulwama attacks, Sidhu had said, "Nations cannot be held responsible for the cowardly acts of terrorists. Terrorists have no deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, bad and ugly. Every institution has them. Every country has them. The ugly ones should be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for cowardly acts."
