The recent terror attack in Pahalgam has plunged the entire nation into darkness of shock and grief. So many innocent lives were lost, and now hundreds of Indian tourists and families are stranded in Kashmir, scared and desperate to return home. This sudden panic has made flight tickets from Srinagar extremely expensive. Those broken by grief and tragedy cannot afford it.
Even though the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA have advised airlines to increase many more flights and waive ticket cancellation or rescheduling charges, the ticket prices are still very high, and there are not enough flights available for tourists who want to return from there. It is time for quick and strict action. I request the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA, and our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to immediately make arrangements to bring back all Indian tourists and citizens stranded in Pahalgam and nearby areas safely back home. No one should be asked to pay for the ticket in this emergency. The government must now immediately send special planes and private jets and use every possible resource to evacuate people at no cost.
Considering this situation as an emergency, airlines must be immediately ordered to stop charging high prices and allow people to cancel or change their tickets for free. The focus right now should be on getting people back safely and reunited with their families.
My prayer at this moment is that the government acts quickly and proves that every Indian life matters. We cannot let money or slow decisions come in the way of saving our people. Please, get everyone home safely, free of cost, and show the world that India always protects its people in times of crisis.
Several Bollywood actors and sports stars have also expressed grief and condemnation of this horrific attack. Shah Rukh Khan called it an "inhuman act of violence" and prayed for the families of the victims. Salman Khan expressed his deep grief over the loss of innocent lives and said, "Heaven on Earth Kashmir is now turning into hell, innocent people are being targeted. Killing a single innocent is equivalent to killing the entire universe." Priyanka Chopra called the attack "reprehensible" and actors like Allu Arjun and Anupam Kher strongly condemned the violence and called for unity and justice. Their heart-touching reactions reflect their grief and anger felt across the country.
