Pathaan 2 Latest Update: Shah Rukh Khan has returned to Bollywood with Pathan in the year 2023 after a long break of four years. Shah Rukh's comeback film Pathan proved to be a superhit. Actually, according to a report by Peeping Moon, the script work of Pathan 2 is now complete. Aditya Chopra has locked the script of Pathan 2. The shooting of the film will start in the first quarter of 2026.

Work on the script has been going on since 2023

At the same time, the reports further stated that, "Aditya Chopra has been working on the script of 'Pathan 2' since mid-2023. The sequel is designed not only to take the story of Pathan forward, but also to lay the foundation for bigger conflicts in the upcoming installments of YRF's spy universe. It was because of the extensive planning and complex storytelling that the scripting process took so long. Aditya, along with Sridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, has crafted a thrilling, high-stakes script that promises to surpass the first installment in both scale and intensity. Aditya consulted Shah Rukh on the script and he was completely impressed and excited to direct the sequel".

Pathan is an Indian Hindi-language spy film written and directed by Siddharth Anand. Produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films. Based on the YRF Spy Universe, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film Pathan was released on 25 January 2023. The film Pathan collected 1050.3 crores.

Talking about the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand's King. Shah Rukh Khan's King will also star Suhana Khan in the lead role. Munjya star Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan will also play important roles in the film. Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in the role of villain in King. At present, no information has been revealed about the actor. Shah Rukh is producing this action-packed thriller King under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment along with Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand's production house Marflix. The music and background score of King is being done by Anirudh, while the team has roped in some of the best names from all over to design the action sequences. The film may release next year in 2026. Shah Rukh Khan's list of upcoming films also includes the much-awaited Tiger vs Pathan with Salman Khan.
