PM Narendra Modi Praises Chhaava: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi on February 21, praised the recently released film Chhaava, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Acknowledging its growing impact, he remarked, “In dino to Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai,” emphasizing the nationwide buzz surrounding the film.

PM Modi while addressing Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi stated, “It is Maharashtra and Mumbai which has given a new height to Marathi as well as Hindi cinema. And these days, Chhaava is making waves throughout the country (In dino to Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai). The introduction of Sambhaji Maharaj’s valour in this form has been made by Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel,".
Chhaava Box Office: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Crosses ₹310 Cr
Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, and directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava features Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, and Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. The film, which hit theatres on February 14, has struck a chord with audiences, garnering immense appreciation and surpassing ₹310.5 crores in worldwide collections.
