After which, on February 2, 2024, a post from Poonam Pandey's Instagram suggested that Poonam had died of cervical cancer. She later clarified the situation in an apology post, saying, "I feel obliged to share something important with all of you. I am here, alive. Cervical cancer did not kill me".
