Punjab 95 Release: Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh is currently in the news for his film 'Punjab 95'. The film was not released in India because it is awaiting approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which suggested 120 cuts in the film. Now Diljit Dosanjh has expressed hope that the film will be released without any cuts.
Diljit Dosanjh said this on 'Punjab 95'
Let us tell you that Diljit Dosanjh talked about the film 'Punjab 95' during his Instagram Live and said that he will not support the film if it is released with cuts. He said, "I will only support the film that will be released completely without any cuts. If you release the film without cuts, I will come; otherwise, it doesn't matter with cuts". Diljit Dosanjh also wished for some solution in the matter and prayed for the release of the film in the Indian state of Punjab soon.

Soon after, the film's director Honey Trehan shared his clip on his Instagram Stories and supported the film. In his note, the filmmaker expressed that if there were any cuts, Punjab '95 would not even have his name as the director. He categorically condemned the CBFC's decision and said that he does not support the unfair and politically coloured demands of the organization. Honey further added that he stands by his film and team and will never let his faith in them waver. The director added "Justice will be done soon and I hope the world will soon see the film without cuts. Huge respect for the martyrdom of Jaswant Singh Khalra ji".
The teaser of the film has been released
The teaser of 'Punjab 95' begins with Arjun Rampal's character saying, "Look at the history of Punjab, sir. Whether it is the dispute over rivers or Operation Bluestar, Indira Gandhi's assassination or the 1984 riots, from President's rule to the assassination of the Chief Minister and now... why is Punjab suffering?" The teaser shows Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the role of Sikh rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra and is investigating the disappearance of Sukhdev Singh. Dosanjh is seen risking his life to take photographs and look for clues to solve the case of Sukhdev's disappearance.

The film will reportedly show his fight for justice before he was abducted, tortured, and murdered by the same police force. Six police officers were reportedly convicted of the crime.
