Before its release in theatres, the Ayan Mukerji-directed film underwent several modifications by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Later, the makers have also made some voluntary cuts in the film. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Yash Raj Films has made changes to 28 scenes. Most of the deleted scenes are of just a few seconds. This means that only a few scenes have been cut, but not the entire scene. Of the 22 scenes, the deleted scenes are about 10 seconds long. A chase scene has been reduced by 16 seconds, and another action-packed scene is now 24 seconds shorter.
