Rajkummar Rao is currently enjoying the success of his upcoming film Stree 2. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao revealed that due to financial constraints in his childhood, his teachers helped him pay his school fees. Along with this, he said that his mother gave Rajkummar a regular upbringing by borrowing money for school books and tuition fees.
The actor's childhood was full of financial difficulties
In fact, Rajkumar Rao recalled his childhood spent in Gurgaon in his recent interview. He said that he was popular in childhood and always wanted to become an actor. He said, "I grew up in a joint family, I have two elder siblings. My beginning was simple. I did not grow up with money, so financial stress was always there. It was not that we were dying of hunger, but we were somehow managing to survive".

Along with this, the actor revealed that his mother 'arranged' the money so that they did not 'feel' financial problems. He said, "For school books and tuition fees, she would sometimes ask our relatives for help. This is how she raised us. Over a period of two or three years, the school teachers paid our fees because we were three and there was no money for school fees. They did not want us to be expelled from school, so they paid for us."
The actor's father passed away in the year 2019
Rajkummar said that since his siblings excelled in extracurricular activities, teachers did not want him to miss out on a proper education. "But my childhood was a lot of fun, I was always outdoors," he said. Soon after his initial success in the film industry, Rajkummar Rao lost his mother. His father passed away in 2019.
Stree 2 crossed the 400 crore mark at the box office
At the same time, production house Maddock Films shared on Thursday, 22 August 2024 that after collecting Rs 342 crore in India and Rs 59 crore overseas, Stree 2 has earned a total of Rs 401 crore worldwide within seven days of its release. The film's collection on Thursday has reached around Rs 417 crore. Apart from Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi are attracting people to the film. Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia have garnered a lot of praise for playing special roles in it.
