In a recent interview, Rakesh Roshan said that he is ready to retire as a director. He also revealed that he will soon announce Krrish 4.

Rakesh Roshan spoke about retirement

In fact, in his latest interview, Rakesh Roshan said, "I don't think I will direct anymore. But I will announce Krrish 4 soon." Earlier this year, Hrithik's Bang Bang, War, and Fighter director, Siddharth Anand posted a fan-taken picture of Hrithik in his Krrish costume on his Instagram account with the caption, "He's coming back." And Siddharth wrote, "Yes, he's coming." Now fans are wondering whether Rakesh Roshan or Siddharth Anand will take charge of the film.

The Krish franchise started in the year 2003

Rakesh Roshan started this franchise in the year 2003 with the science-fiction film Koi Mil Gaya. He then turned it into a superhero franchise with Krrish in 2006 and then made Krrish 3 in 2013. Hrithik played the roles of both Rohit and his son Krishna aka Krrish in the films. Preity Zinta was the lead actress opposite Hrithik in Koi Mil Gaya. After that, Priyanka was cast as the lead lady in two installments of Krrish. The first two installments of this franchise also featured Rekha, the second one featured Naseeruddin Shah, and the third film also featured Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut.

As Rakesh Roshan steps down from directing duties, he will remain busy as a producer. He will re-release some of his popular films. His 1995 blockbuster reincarnation saga Karan Arjun will start its release this Friday on November 22. "Not every film can work. But of course, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai is also going to complete 25 years in January (2025). Karan Arjun was also in January, but I couldn't do two films together, so I pre-scheduled this release. And many films are releasing in January," Rakesh Roshan also plans to re-release the 1988 revenge saga Khoon Bhari Maang starring Rekha and Kabir Bedi.
