Ram i.e. Arun Govil is contesting elections from his hometown Meerut.

Ram of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana has once again entered the battlefield after 37 years. In Satyayuga, there was only one king (Ravana) in front of Ram who had to be defeated, but in this Kaliyuga democratic battle of Ramayana, Ram (Arun Govil) has not one but many enemies from the opposition (India alliance) who are vigorously trying to surround Ram. They have started preparations for the election and say that this inexperienced person in governance will crush Ram in the battle for votes. On the other hand, there is Jambuvant (Raj Shekhar Upadhyay), an artist of the Ramayana serial, who seems ready to gather the entire Ramayana team for publicity and raise the slogan of "Jai Shri Ram" in Meerut.

Ramayana Actors Support Arun Govil in Campaign

Jambuvant Raj Shekhar told 'Mayapuri' that after discussing among ourselves, all the actors of 'Ramayana' are ready to go to Meerut and campaign. All Ram Sevaks will reach there and support Arun ji." However, many actors in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana are no longer in the world. Serial producer Ramanand Sagar himself has gone to the afterlife. Hanuman ji (Dara Singh), the artist who was very fond of Arun Govil), Ravana (Arvind Trivedi), composer-singer (Ravindra Jain), Meghnad (Vijay Arora) etc. are no more. Despite this, there has been a long list of artists working in Ramayana, all of them are in collaboration with their fellow artist Ram i.e. Arun Govil. He is going to his birthplace Meerut for the campaign. Everyone wants Ram to be victorious in this election battle also.

The Ramayana Cast will be there to support Arun Govil

Ram i.e. Arun Govil's native place is in Meerut. His father worked in the water department. He was the fourth among six siblings. Arun had his initial education in Saraswati School here. Then he studied engineering science at Chaudhary Charan Singh University. Arun started working in plays here. Then he came to Mumbai with the desire to do something special. In Mumbai, his elder brother Vijay Govil married TV's first reality show anchor Tabassum of 'Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan' fame. However, Arun Govil lived separately from his sister-in-law Tabassum in Mumbai. He worked in many films (Paheli, Sawan Ko Aane Do, Saanch Ko Aanch Nahi, etc.). Then after becoming Ram on TV, he started being worshiped all over the country. This was the first TV serial when there was an aarti at its start and incidents of powerhouses being burnt when there was a power cut. Now the same Ram-Arun Govil is contesting elections from Meerut-Hapur on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. Arun Govil is Prime Minister Modi's favorite candidate.

Meerut-Hapur has five assembly seats in the Lok Sabha where the number of voters is 1987311. BJP MP Rajendra Agarwal has been the winner in the last two elections here in 2014 and 2019. This time the party has given this seat to Arun Govil to contest. Agarwal had won the last election by very less votes (only 4729), hence this time the responsibility is more on Arun Govil. Arun Govil will face the candidate contesting from the Samajwadi quota on behalf of the joint candidate of India Alliance (Samajwadi Party + Congress Party) for this seat.

"By coming and participating in the promotion of 'Ramji Ki Sena Chali', the air of Meerut will become filled with Ram." 'Jambuvant' Rajashekhar has this belief. 'Ramayana' actors Sita (Deepika Chikhalia), Laxman (Sunil Lahiri), Jambuvant, and Arun Govil's wife Sreelekha Govil are involved in coordinating with other Ramayana actors so that everyone can go to Meerut together and participate in the promotion of Ram i.e Arun Govil.
