Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Dhoom 4
In fact, according to a Pinkvilla report, Ranbir Kapoor has given his final approval to the makers and Chopra is busy finalizing the script with writer Vijay Krishna Acharya. YRF is considering a complete 'reboot' of the entire franchise and Ranbir will play a key role in it. Apart from Ranbir, the rest of the casting is going to happen soon and no one from the old Dhoom films will be cast in the fourth film.
Dhoom is Aditya Chopra's favorite franchise
The report further states, "Dhoom is Aditya Chopra's favourite franchise and he has decided to reboot it to suit the current times. Like all the previous parts, the script of Dhoom 4 has been developed by Aditya Chopra in collaboration with Vijay Krishna Acharya. The idea and vision is to create a cinematic experience like never before with the fourth Dhoom film."
Ranbir will be seen in a negative role
Talking about Ranbir's inclusion and his inclusion in the film, the source said, "Discussions with Ranbir have been going on for quite a long time. He had shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 ever since he heard the original idea and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the legacy of Dhoom. The film will have two new faces as the cop buddy duo and Ranbir is likely to play a negative role. Dhoom 4 will have two big heroes from the younger generation coming in to play the cop buddy duo."
Dhoom 4 was released in the year 2004
In 2004, Aditya Chopra changed the game of action films in India with the release of Dhoom, starring John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, and Uday Chopra in lead roles. Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, the film introduced audiences to an exciting new style of storytelling, with John playing a stylish anti-hero who instantly won hearts. The film's success paved the way for Dhoom 2 in 2006, in which Hrithik Roshan took the villain role to new heights, and then came Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 in 2013.
