Randeep Hooda gave a statement on Film Choices: 'I Have Always...'

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has made a special place in the hearts of fans with his acting in many great characters in Bollywood. The actor has shown his acting skills in more than 48 films so far. Recently, at an event, Randeep Hooda said that he is "very lucky that he has chosen films at the cost of less acting". 

Randeep Hooda spoke about the selection of films

In fact, while talking about his film choices at the India Today Mind Rocks 2024 Youth Summit in Bengaluru, Randeep Hooda said, "I always didn't want to do just cheesy films. In India and everywhere, we are looking for entertainment where we don't have to use our brains too much."

'I haven't been on a set for 11 years'- Randeep Hooda

Continuing his point, Randeep Hooda further said, "But, I have been very fortunate to choose films at the cost of doing less acting. Out of my 24 years of experience as a professional actor, I have not been on a set for 11 years. So either I am waiting for something worthwhile to come my way or I am preparing for something."

Randeep spoke on his acting selection

When Randeep Hooda was asked by the host to dance a bit on stage, he refused and said, "This is why I prefer doing transformational acting or method acting, where you prepare yourself to get to the truth of a character. For example, I have played many cop roles, but I have not played a cardboard cop wearing a uniform. They are humans who happen to be cops. This is where you make the change. Because I was not good at dancing, I chose to be good at it. So, why compete with Hrithik, Shahid and Tiger, because they dance so well? They can't do what I can. Find your USP."

Randeep Hooda was seen in Swatantra Veer Savarkar

Randeep Hooda was last seen in the film Swatantra Veer Savarkar. It is a biopic based on the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. It is directed, co-written and co-produced by Randeep Hooda who also played the lead role of Savarkar in this film. Apart from Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial also appeared in the lead roles in this film. The film Swatantra Veer Savarkar did not do anything special at the box office. At present, the actor-filmmaker has not yet announced his next project.
