Rashami Desai recalls her financial struggles and those tough moments!

The actress achieved significant success in the entertainment industry on the basis of her ability. At the same time, Rashami Desai recently spoke openly about her financial struggles and those difficult moments during a podcast. 

Rashmi Desai faced a lot of struggles

Let us tell you that during the podcast, Rashmi Desai told that her life has never been easy. She recalled that she did not belong to a very good family and her mother struggled a lot to raise her and her brother. The actress said, "Unfortunately, there have been many ups and downs in my life. But there was a period in 2017 where my family dispute was going on and I was very financially weak. You can say that there was zero salary and a loan of crores, as well as debt".

When Rashmi Desai had a debt of crores

Rashmi Desai, while recalling the difficulties immediately after her separation from Nandish Sandhu, said, “I had bought a house during that time. I had a loan of about Rs 2.5 crore and apart from that. I remember I had a total debt of Rs 3.25-3.5 crore. I thought everything was fine but then suddenly my show closed. I was on the road for four days. I had an Audi A6 and I used to sleep in the same car. All my belongings were at my manager's house. I was completely cut off from my family. In those days, rickshaw pullers used to give food for Rs 20. It came in a plastic bag in which dal and rice were mixed and two rotis were given along with it. There were some stones in it but I still ate it. These four days were very difficult. However, during these four days, I realized that I had never given priority to myself in my life”.

Because of this Rashmi Desai decided to go to Bigg Boss

Along with this, Rashmi Desai said that during this time she got the show Dil Se Dil Tak. She told that her journey in that show was very "interesting" and whatever she earned from it improved her financial condition. However, Rashmi said, "But securing the future is not the only thing you can do. I did not know how to use those things. All the money I earned went into repaying the loan and I did not have much savings left. After this I also decided to participate in Bigg Boss 13 to repay my loan. 

Rashmi Desai's acting projects

Rashmi made her acting debut with a cameo role in the Assamese film – Kanyadaan (2002). She later starred in the National Award-winning Bhojpuri film – Kab Hoi Gavana Hamaar (2003) starring Ravi Kishan. However, she rose to fame with the television shows – Uttaran (2019-2014) and Dil Se Dil Tak (2017-2018).
