Richa Chadha & Ali Fazal's Debut Film Selected for SXSW

Pushing Buttons Studios, the production house founded by renowned actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, is thrilled to announce that their debut production, “Girls Will Be Girls” has been selected for the prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival. sXSW is one of the largest and most renowned film festivals globally and will be held in Austin, Texas from March 8 to 17, 2024.

"Girls Will Be Girls" will be featured in the 'Festival Favorites' section after receiving critical acclaim at its world premiere at Sundance. Directed by visionary director Shuchi Talati, the film has, in the last few years, been hailed and talked about as one of the most compelling coming-of-age stories to come from India.

"Girls Will Be Girls" won two important awards at Sundance, one - the Audience Choice Award for Best Film and the other - the Special Jury Award for the outstanding, best performance of lead actress Preeti Panigrahi.

The much-talked-about and much-awaited film also made it to the list of Best Films at Sundance 2024 curated by Vulture, Variety and Vogue.

Boarding School Drama: Stellar Cast Shines

The story of the film centers around a 16-year-old girl facing the challenges of adolescence while living within the confines of a boarding school. Among the star cast of this film, the best actors Kani Kusruti, Jitin Gulati, Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy Kiran are seen in lead roles.

Known for their extraordinary talent on screen, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have successfully translated their creative vision into the production realm. Co-producing the film under Pushing Button Studios, in collaboration with Blink Digital and Dolce Vita Films, the duo celebrated superstars, actress Richa Chadha and global actor Ali Fazal added a feather to their crown with the film's selection at SXSW. And added star achievement.
