Rhea Singha of Gujarat won the title of Miss Universe India 2024

19-year-old Riya Singha from Gujarat has been crowned Miss Universe India 2024. The grand event was held at Zee Studios in Jaipur on Sunday (September 22), where Riya emerged as the winner among talented contestants from across the country. With this win, she has earned the honor of representing India at the prestigious Miss Universe 2024 international competition.

Riya Singha expresses happiness on winning Miss Universe India 2024

After winning Miss Universe India 2024, Riya expressed her gratitude and said, "Today I won the title of Miss Universe India 2024. I am very grateful. I have worked very hard to reach this level where I can consider myself worthy of this crown. I am very inspired by the previous winners.". At the same time, other contestants also performed impressively in the Miss Universe India 2024 competition. Pranjal Priya was the first runner-up, while Chhavi Varg was second. Sushmita Roy and Ruofuzhano Viso were the third and fourth runners-up respectively.

Miss Universe 2015 actress Urvashi Rautela crowned Riya Singha after she won Miss Universe India 2024. The judges panel included Nikhil Anand, Urvashi Rautela, Vietnamese star Nguyen Kinh, fashion photographer Ryan Fernandes and industrialist Rajiv Srivastava. Actress and Miss Universe India 2015 Urvashi Rautela shared her thoughts. Sharing her thoughts, she expressed confidence that, "The winners are amazing. They will represent our country very well in Miss Universe and I hope India will win the Miss Universe crown again this year. All the girls are hard-working, dedicated and extremely beautiful."

Who is Riya Singha?

19-year-old beauty queen Riya Singha from Ahmedabad, Gujarat is not only a model but also an actor and student. Currently studying Performing Arts at GLS University, Riya also serves as a university ambassador. Riya's journey in the modeling world began in 2020, when she won the title of Diva Miss Teen Gujarat at the age of 16. Her international exposure came in February 2023, when she represented India at the Miss Teen Universe 2023 competition in Madrid, Spain, where she ranked in the top 6 out of 25 contestants. Later, in April 2023, she was the runner-up at Joy Times Fresh Face Season 14, a major event in Mumbai. With the title of Miss Universe India 2024, Riya Singha is now preparing to represent India at the Miss Universe 2024 competition, which will take place later this year.
