Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister paid an emotional tribute
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin expressed grief over the death of Robo Shankar on X. His post in Tamil on X read, "We paid our respects to him by laying a wreath on his mortal remains at his residence. Brother Robo Shankar was truly amazing, starting his journey as a stage artist, achieving success on the small screen, and entertaining Tamil audiences with his realistic humor in films."

Shankar, a native of Madurai, earned the nickname "Robo" for his robot-style dance moves.
