Rohit Shetty Firing Case: The Mumbai Crime Branch has made a major breakthrough in the shooting incident at the Juhu residence of renowned Bollywood director Rohit Shetty . During the investigation, police recovered the weapon used by the shooter. This action was carried out as part of a comprehensive operation conducted across several states (Rohit Shetty Firing Case), in which, in addition to the main suspected shooter, six other accused from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh were arrested. In fact, a Mumbai Police official has confirmed that the Crime Branch has recovered the weapon used in the firing at filmmaker Rohit Shetty 's house from the shooter. "The weapon used by the shooter in the shooting has been recovered and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for a ballistic test to confirm its use in the crime," an official said. The Crime Branch's Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) has so far arrested 12 accused, including shooter Deepak Sharma, in connection with the incident.

The accused made these allegations against the police in the court.

According to investigators, the crime was committed with the intention of harming the filmmaker and instilling fear and dominance. Previously, the Crime Branch arrested Aditya Gayaki (19), Siddharth Yenpure (20), Samarth Pomaji (18), Swapnil Sakat (23), and Asaram Fasale, who were allegedly involved in providing the shooter with a scooter, other logistical support, and weapons. The five accused arrested in connection with the firing outside Rohit's house were produced in a MCOCA court on Tuesday after their police custody expired. The five men produced in court were arrested from Pune. Swapnil told the court that the police pressured him into signing his statement.

When did the firing take place at Rohit Shetty's house?

Five rounds of gunfire erupted at Rohit Shetty's building late on January 31st. The post described the shooting as a "trailer" and warned Rohit Shetty and Bollywood. The post stated that if Rohit Shetty did not comply, the next round of shots would be fired in his bedroom. This has led police to suspect the incident is linked to the gang of organized criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, who has previously been responsible for several high-profile threats and attacks.
