Early life

Sajid's grandfather, Abdul Karim Nadiadwala, came to Mumbai from Nadiad, Gujarat, in 1955. He produced hundreds of films in Mumbai, including "Taj Mahal." After completing his graduation, Sajid, at the age of 21, worked as an assistant director with J.P. Dutta on the set of the film "Ghulami."

Beginning of career

Sajid began his career as a production assistant at his uncle's production house. At the age of 25, he founded his own company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. In 1992, he produced his first film, "Zulm Ki Hukumat," starring Dharmendra and Govinda. He then brought together Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty for the first time in "Waqt Hamara Hai" (1993).

1996–2006

1996's "Jeet" (starring Salman Khan and Sunny Deol) proved to be a major hit. Following this, "Judwaa" marked a new milestone in Salman Khan's career. Films like "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega" (2000) and "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" (2004) were also successful. However, 2006's "Jaan-E-Mann" was not a commercial success.

2007–2014

"Heyy Babyy" was released in 2007. "Kambakht Ishq" in 2009 marked the first time Hollywood stars (Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh) were cast. "Housefull" was released in 2010, becoming a huge hit and spawning a successful comedy franchise.

Private life

Sajid married actress Divya Bharti on May 10, 1992. Divya died accidentally on April 5, 1993. He later married journalist Warda Khan on November 18, 2000. They have two sons. Sajid is considered a close friend of Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff.
