Salman Khan on Bollywood: Says He Needs Support, Takes a Dig at the Industry!

Salman Khan on Bollywood: Salman Khan is in the news these days for his film 'Sikandar'. The film released on the occasion of Eid (Sikandar Release) is not doing anything special at the box office (Sikandar Box Office). Not only this, Sikandar is also facing severe criticism from both the audience and critics (Sikandar Review). Meanwhile, Salman Khan has broken his silence on the lack of support from the Bollywood industry for his films, which also includes a big films like the recently released 'Sikandar'.

Salman spoke about the Bollywood industry

In fact, during an interview, the host revealed how his colleagues from the Hindi film industry avoid promoting his projects, even though Salman often promotes the films of his colleagues and friends, regardless of their budget or scale. To this, Salman Khan says, "They must feel that I do not need them. But, everybody needs them, including me".

Salman Khan mentioned Sunny Deol's film Jaat

Salman then focused on upcoming and recently released films, showing his continued support for his peers. He also mentioned Sunny Deol's upcoming mass-action film 'Jaat', which is set to release on April 10, 2025. He also mentioned Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Malayalam blockbuster 'L2: Empuraan', which hit the screens just two days before Sikandar and is already making records. Interestingly, Sunny Deol was the only one among Bollywood stars to publicly promote Sikandar, posting on social media for Salman's film.

Sikandar was released on Eid 

Salman has returned to the big screen for the first time after 2023 with Sikandar, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. The film also stars Salman Khan along with Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj and Sharman Joshi in important roles. Sikandar released in theaters on Sunday, March 30. It is directed by AR Murgadoss, who made Aamir Khan-Asin starrer 'Ghajini' in 2008. According to the initial report of Sacnilk, 'Sikandar' has collected Rs 9.75 crore at the domestic box office on the fourth day. In this way, now its total collection (Sikandar Box Office Collection) has become Rs 84.25 crore.
