Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of a building in Bandra on September 11. As soon as the news of Malaika's father's death was received, celebs from the industry are continuously reaching out to console her. After Anil Mehta's funeral, Salman Khan reached Malaika's house late on Thursday night to offer condolences.

Salman reached Malaika Arora's house

Salman Khan went to Malaika Arora's house to express his condolences on the tragic death of her father Anil Mehta. He was seen outside Malaika's house with police protection and tight security. According to reports, Salman Khan was busy shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar, due to which he could not attend Anil Mehta's funeral. However, after finishing the shooting, Salman went straight to meet Malaika. 

Many celebs attended Anil Mehta's funeral

Earlier in the day, Malaika's father was laid to rest at Santacruz Hindu crematorium in Mumbai, where people from the film industry also gathered to pay their last respects. Malaika Arora arrived at the crematorium with her son Arhaan Khan. Many celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan arrived at the crematorium to pay their last respects to Malaika Arora's father. Malaika Arora's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan also arrived at the crematorium with his wife Shura Khan. Malaika's close friend and filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder also arrived to pay her last respects to Anil Mehta. She was accompanied by her brother Sajid Khan.

Shahrukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan reached Malaika's house 

Not only this, Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan also reached Malaika's house, followed by Bhavana Pandey and Dia Mirza. Other celebrities including Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, filmmaker Farah Khan, her brother Sajid Khan and choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis also reached there to extend their support to the bereaved family.

Malaika had released an emotional note

 

On September 11, Malaika released an emotional statement, which read, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband and our best friend. Our family is deeply shocked by this loss and we request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support and respect. With gratitude, Joyce, Malaika, Amrita Shakeel, Arhaan, Azaan, Ryan, Casper, Axl, Duffy and Buddy."
