Sanjay Dutt Talks Villain Role in 'Double iSmart' and Future Projects

Sanjay Dutt is currently in the news for his upcoming Telugu film Double iSmart. The actor will be seen in the role of a villain in this film. Along with this, the trailer of the film was released recently which is full of action. Now, while promoting the film, Sanjay Dutt talked about his passion of playing the role of a villain in the film. 

Sanjay Dutt spoke about playing a negative role

Actually, during an interview, Sanjay Dutt was asked about his attraction towards negative roles. Responding to this, the actor said, "I think doing a South Indian film is a challenge for me. Playing the role of a villain is a great experience. You get to do a lot - action, intensity and depth. You have to beat people, and you get beaten up too. It's exciting". Along with this, the actor jokingly said that, of course, some things like rape scenes are no longer allowed, which is a good thing. But overall, these roles give an actor a lot to work on, especially after doing so many films".

The actor gave this reaction to romance on screen

On Sanjay Dutt's return to romance on screen, the actor said, "Yes, I would love to do a romantic film again if the right project comes my way. But our generation has always kept the mass audience in mind. We are 'mass' heroes. I worked in Saajan at that time, which was a great film with beautiful songs. So yes, if a good romantic script comes my way, I would be interested in it."

Sanjay Dutt shared his experience of working in Double iSmart 

Along with this, Sanjay Dutt also shared his experience of working on Double iSmart. Praising his co-star Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannath, the actor said, "We are all fans of Puri Jagannath. I am grateful to him for making me a part of Double iSmart and casting me as Big Bull. Working with Ram Pothineni was an absolute pleasure. He is like a younger brother to me. He is a brilliant artist and hardworking. We had a lot of fun shooting together in Dubai and other places".

Double iSmart will be released on 15 August 2024 

Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt starrer Double iSmart also stars Kavya Thapar in the lead role. The film will be released in theatres on August 15. Bollywood films Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein and Veda are also releasing on the same day.
