Sanjay Dutt out of Son of Sardaar 2
In fact, according to a Mid-Day report, Ravi Kishan has replaced Sanjay Dutt for the sequel of Son of Sardar. Sanjay Dutt, on the other hand, could not get the film, which is being shot in Scotland and also stars Mrunal Thakur, because his UK visa application was rejected due to his previous imprisonment.
This actor took the place of Sanjay Dutt
According to sources, "Since his arrest in 1993, while Sanju has traveled to the US, he has applied for a UK visa several times but never got one. The shooting of Son of Sardaar 2 would have been his first trip to the UK. However, when Ajay Devgn's team found out that Sanjay Dutt's visa request had been rejected, they replaced him with Ravi Kishan."
Sanjay Dutt will shoot Housefull 5 in Mumbai instead of Sandan
The report also asked if Sanjay's visa troubles could affect the shooting of Housefull 5, as the Akshay Kumar-starrer comedy is reportedly scheduled to be shot in London in September. When asked if producer Sajid Nadiadwala would also have to look for a replacement for Sanjay, the source said, "Sajid has taken the sensible route. While the shoot with the cast will begin in London, all portions of Sanju will be shot in Mumbai. So, there is no problem on that front."
Sanjay Dutt was arrested in 1993
In April 1993, Sanjay was arrested under TADA and the Arms Act and later convicted of violating the Arms Act for possessing illegal weapons purchased from other accused in the 1993 Bombay bombings. He was sentenced to five years in prison. In March 2013, the Supreme Court upheld his five-year sentence and after getting bail several times, he finally completed his jail term in 2016.
