Sensational Sandeep Reddy Vanga  (‘Animal’) as ‘mascot’ --unveils trailer of  best-buddies Siddharth-Garima’s award-worthy  social-shocker ‘Dukaan’ by  Chaitanya  Padukone

Over the past previous century, , movie-audiences have always watched the on-screen heroine or mistress  or girlfriend confiding with  the hero or villain who is either shocked or thrilled ,” Main tumhare bachhe ki ‘maa’ bannewali’ hoon” !!.  This iconic ‘good news’ dialogue is now integrated as a proper rhythmic Garba-flavour filmy-song lyrics in a different situation of surrogacy motherhood  in the upcoming social-shocker movie ‘Dukaan’ .  

In an event marked by anticipation plus excitement, celebrated ’shock-value  ‘Animal’ mega-hit movie director Sandeep Reddy Vanga unveiled the much-awaited trailer of film 'Dukaan’. The maverick movie   which deals with the sensitive yet engaging social-shocker subject of  multiple female surrogate pregnancy operating like a commercial ‘shop’  marks the directorial debut of screenwriter duo Siddharth-Garima. Who have professionally worked with the same sensational  ‘showman’ Sandeep Reddy Gaaru and are very good friends and mutual well-wishers in real-life  'Dukaan', the directorial debut of Siddharth-Garima,  will hit theaters all over on April 5, 2024 and is expected to create a sensation like ‘Animal’.

The super-talented writer duo Siddharth-Garima has earlier worked with Vanga on his directorial Kabir Singh as dialogue writers for Kabir Singh  and also wrote the lyrics of Satranga song for Vanga’s last blockbuster hit  Animal.  As a friendly gesture they invited  sensational film-maker Sandeep Vanga Reddy as the mascot-guest  to unveil the trailer of ‘Dukaan’.  Otherwise known for his frank,  care-a-damn attitude , the outspoken  Sandeep Reddy  Vanga said that he has seen major  portions of  ‘Dukaan’  on the computer-screen, and he highly appreciated  the content and direction of ‘Dukaan’  .  Sandeep Reddy ‘s next  upcoming movie release is ‘Spirit’ –an engaging thriller-story of a sincere cop (first time) played by Prabhas

They have been associated with films like Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Ram-Leela as screenwriters and have written lyrics for Pinga, Deewani Mastani, Mohe Rang Do Laal from Bajirao Mastani and Nainowale Ne from Padmavat to name a few.

Set in beautiful  Gujarat,  'Dukaan' with its  hard-hitting spicy dialogues --has the detached policy of ‘No Emotion-Only Profession’ unfolds the poignant tale of Jasmine (portrayed by ‘shock-proof current’ Monika Panwar), a young woman embarking on a courageous journey as a surrogate mother . Yet she faces the emotional pangs  of a (non-physical ) romantic-triangle of giving birth to a stranger man’s baby.  . Through Jasmine's narrative lens, the film delves into crucial themes of dignity, freedom of choice, and the autonomy of women engaged in commercial surrogacy—a subject rarely explored in Hindi cinema.

Actress  Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress Filmfare and National Film Award for her surrogacy-mother role performance in ‘Mimi’ (2021), . This time, for her realistic intense gut-wrenching performance in ‘Dukaan’, mark-my-words -- glam-actress Monika Panwar  will qualify for multiple Awards in 2025 .

 Crafted meticulously over four years, the script of 'Dukaan' reflects Siddharth-Garima's unwavering commitment to authenticity, resonating not only in its narrative depth but also in its captivating musical score seamlessly interwoven into the fabric of the film.

“Am aware  of Siddharth-Garima’s meticulous journey with this film ‘Dukaan’ and I hold them in high regards because I think they are wonderful writers, among the best in this country” said Sandeep Reddy Vanga at the event.

"Through our film, inspired by  authentic ‘true  events’  we aim to navigate the realistic emotional roller coaster experienced by couples undertaking the journey of surrogacy, while also delving into the ethical and moral complexities often brushed aside in societal discourse. We hope 'Dukaan' sparks meaningful conversations with its poignant social message, inviting audiences to join us in experiencing it on the big screen," shared Siddharth-Garima, known for their cinematic narratives rooted in powerful themes. We also kind of felt like ‘surrogates’ as film dialogues and lyrics  writers. Because you write, get attached to something and then hand it over to filmmakers. The idea of Dukaan, also kind of germinated from there.”

 The film produced by A Jhunjhunwala and S K Ahluwalia under banner Waveband Productions and Siddharth Garima's Kalamkaar Picture Productions, will release theatrically on April 5 this year.
