Shah Rukh Khan talks about Mufasa: The Lion King

One of the most awaited films of this year, Mufasa: The Lion King is grabbing the attention of the audience. Meanwhile, actor Shah Rukh Khan, who gave his voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version of Mufasa: The Lion King, told how his life is similar to the life of the hero of the film. On Wednesday, Walt Disney Studios India posted a video on its YouTube channel in which Shah Rukh talked about Mufasa.

In fact, in his recent interview, Shah Rukh Khan talked about Mufasa's inspiring journey of becoming the king of the jungle. Shah Rukh narrated the story as a story of hardship, perseverance and victory. He reiterated his inspiring journey of becoming one of India's most loved superstars. Shah Rukh started the video by saying, "This is the story of a king who inherited not the light of a legacy but loneliness."

Shah Rukh Khan further said, "But he had passion. With that passion, he rose from the ground to the sky. Many kings ruled the land, but he ruled the hearts of the people. He emerged from his difficult situation, a true king. This story also sounds like this, isn't it? But this is a story about Mufasa".

Mufasa will release on December 20

In the Hindi version of the film, Shah Rukh's elder son Aryan Khan will voice Simba. AbRam Khan will voice young Mufasa. Other actors who will lend their voices include Sanjay Mishra as Pumbaa, Shreyas Talpade as Timon and Meiyang Chang as Taka. The film is directed by Barry Jenkins. Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King will release in India on December 20, 2024 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Mufasa: The Lion King stars Rafiki to tell the story of the unexpected rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, introducing an orphaned cub named Mufasa, an empathetic lion named Taka - the heir to a royal lineage and their elaborate journey with an extraordinary group of misfits.

Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh's 'King' which will also star his daughter Suhana Khan. Apart from this, Netflix and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment have officially announced an untitled Bollywood series that will mark Aryan Khan's debut as a creator and director. The series will release in 2025 and will be available exclusively on Netflix.
