Shahid Kapoor’s Most Awaited Film Deva Unveils Powerful Teaser

The teaser for Shahid Kapoor’s eagerly awaited film Deva was launched with a grand event at Carter Road Amphitheater in Mumbai on Sunday, January 5th. Shahid attended the event in a sharp black outfit paired with a brown jacket. Alongside him were the film’s producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews, and Umesh Bansal, Chief Business Officer at Zee Entertainment.

This Film Is For the People

At the teaser launch event, Shahid Kapoor spoke about the film, saying, “This film is for the people. We’ve made it with the audience in mind, focusing on their lives and experiences. It’s a story that will connect with everyone.”

He added, “For years, people have been asking me to make a film that brings people together. This is the next stage in my journey—a character created for the audience. As an actor, this film has been one of the most challenging projects I’ve ever worked on. But I don’t want to reveal too much. Watch it on January 31st. You’ll see that we all have a 'Deva' inside us. It’s a heartwarming, beautiful story, and I can promise that the fans will enjoy it. It’s definitely a movie worth your money.”

Shahid on His Character in Deva

Talking about his role in Deva, Shahid said, “The madness of Deva in Mumbai reflects the madness of Mumbai itself. The character’s name is Dev, but there’s an ‘A’ in his name, making him Deva. We all have two sides—a divine side and a darker side. This film portrays the internal struggle of the character. Mumbai, in many ways, is like that—it’s beautiful, but also has a darker side. This contrast gives the city its unique charm.”

Rosshan Andrrews

At the event, Deva director  Rosshan Andrrews shared, “This is my first film in Mumbai, and I’m deeply in love with this city. Please make a note of the release date—January 31st.”

Film Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur spoke about the film saying, “I’ve worked with Shahid before, but this project feels truly special. Shahid told me that Rosshan Andrrews is a fantastic person to work with.”

The much-awaited film Deva is slated for release on January 31st. In the film, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in a lead role alongside actress Pooja Hegde.
