Shin Chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers in India shifts the action of the series to India, set in the fictional city of Mushibai in the equally fictional state of Higashimiru. Mushibai is declared Kasukabe's sister city, sparking a celebratory cultural festival. As part of the event, the winning team in a dance competition is offered a trip to India, prompting Shin Chan and the Kasukabe Defense Force to participate. At the center of this chaos is Bo Suzuki, better known as Bo-chan. While traveling, Shin Chan and his friends discover a strange nose-shaped rucksack at a souvenir shop. It turns out to be more than just a funny gift. When something inside it suddenly affects Bo-chan, her personality completely changes, leading to a series of problems that only Shin Chan and his friends can fix.
