Sonakshi Sinha’s Parents React to Her Marriage with Zaheer Iqbal

Sonakshi Sinha married her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on 23 June 2024. Sonakshi's wedding was much talked about. Many people raised questions on this marriage, while many people also trolled the actress badly for this. Although it was initially claimed that Shatrughan Sinha was not ready for this marriage, the actor-politician dismissed these rumors. At the same time, recently Sonakshi Sinha told how her parents reacted to her decision of marriage.

In fact, in a recent interview, Sonakshi Sinha while talking about her father said, “All friends and family members knew about our relationship for years”. She further said, “My father was very happy. He said, 'Jab Miyan Biwi Raji To Kya Karega Qazi.' He had met Zaheer many times before. He loves him very much. Their birthdays come almost at the same time. My dad's birthday is on 9 December and Zaheer's on 10 December so they are very similar”.

Zaheer Iqbal praised Sonakshi's father

Zaheer Iqbal said, "I am very impressed with him and his intelligence. When he speaks, the knowledge he possesses is immense. Sitting with him for an hour or two makes you feel like you are in a university".

Sonakshi spoke about her mother Poonam Sinha 

Talking about her mother Poonam Sinha's reaction, Sonakshi said, "My mother knew her. She was the first woman I told my heart out to. She herself had a love marriage and she knows how it will go."

Sonakshi married Zaheer Iqbal on 23 June

After seven years of relationship, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got registered married on 23 June at Sonakshi's house in Mumbai. This was followed by a grand reception party which was attended by many stars including Salman Khan, Huma Qureshi, Rekha and Kajol. While sharing the wedding pictures, Sonakshi Sinha said, "On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017) we saw love in each other's eyes in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and victories. It has led to this moment. Where with the blessings of both our families and both our Gods. We are now husband and wife. Here's to love, hope and all the beautiful things with each other, from now till forever Sonakshi Zaheer 23.06.2024".
