'Stree 2' crossed the 400 crore mark at the box office

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 8: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's horror-comedy 'Stree 2' is continuously making a splash at the box office. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film made a great collection in theaters on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Not only this, the film, released on August 15, has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide.

Let us tell you that according to the latest report of industry tracker Saknilk, Stree 2 earned Rs 16 crore on Thursday, taking its total collection to Rs 305.6 crore. At the same time, the film has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide. Production house Maddock Films shared on Thursday, 22 August 2024 that after collecting Rs 342 crore in India and Rs 59 crore overseas, Stree 2 has earned a total of Rs 401 crore worldwide within seven days of its release. The film's collection on Thursday has reached around Rs 417 crore.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, this film is a sequel to the 2018 blockbuster film Stree. The film 'Stree 2' is directed by Amar Kaushik. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. Talking about the star cast of the film, apart from Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi are attracting people. Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia have garnered a lot of praise for playing special roles in it. It is also a part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe, which includes Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. The film Stree 2 was released in theaters on 15 August 2024.

While sharing his thoughts on the success of the film, filmmaker Amar Kaushik said, "I did not expect such a huge response. I think the audience wants such films. Wherever I went, people kept asking me 'What is the end of Stree?' This film is made on public demand. We did not rush to make this film because we wanted to do justice to the story. When we released the trailer, we thought the audience would like it but when we started advance ticket sales, we thought, 'What is happening?' It is just the love of the public". 

Abhishek Banerjee spoke about Stree 3

Meanwhile, Stree 2 actor Abhishek Banerjee spoke about the third installment of the Stree series. He said that even though it will take time to hit the theatres, now that Stree 2 has become such a huge hit, it definitely won't take 6 years. Talking about the same, the actor said, "It will take time. Now that Stree 2 has become such a huge hit, I know it won't take six years to make it, like we did with Stree 2. That's for sure. Parts of the script have already been written. It's going to be a big epic saga and as an actor, I am desperate to get back on that set."
