Subhash Ghai said this on working with Dilip Kumar, Big B and Shahrukh

Subhash Ghai was one of the most prominent and successful filmmakers of Hindi cinema in the 80s and 90s. Not only this, Subhash Ghai does not shy away from sharing his honest opinion about some famous Bollywood actors. Meanwhile, Subhash Ghai recently talked about working with many Bollywood legends. The filmmaker called Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan great actors.

Subhash Ghai shared his thoughts about the stars

In fact, recently Subhash Ghai shared his candid views on stars. The filmmaker described the actor who introduced Jackie Shroff in Hero, made unforgettable films like Karz with Rishi Kapoor, Saudagar with Dilip Kumar, and Rajkumar and Pardes with Shah Rukh Khan as a "child" who constantly seeks reassurance. 

Shahrukh Khan is a good actor

While talking about Shah Rukh Khan, Subhash Ghai called him a good actor. He said, "A good actor is a person who understands the scenes and performs them better, in such a way that even the director feels that he has taken the scene beyond the written script. I have worked with actors who were not stars at that time, but they had their own qualities. For example, I have worked with Shah Rukh in Pardes and sometimes I felt that he stole scenes from what was written in the script. Although we had differences and we used to argue, if he is really performing, he can pick up a scene and elevate it".

Subhash Ghai said this about the rift with Shahrukh Khan

Actually, Subhash Ghai talked about working with Shahrukh Khan in the film 'Pardes' during a recent chat show. He said, "Like I worked with Shahrukh in Pardes. There was always a misunderstanding between him and me, there was constant bickering, then after Karz (1980) I thought that if a film has to be made in a real way, then it is not possible to make a film with all the current stars".

The director spoke about Jackie Shroff and Shatrughan Sinha

Subhash Ghai, while talking about Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, and Shatrughan Sinha during a chat show, said, "There are five types of actors, Sir. One is a non-actor, and the other is a bad actor. Jackie Shroff was a bad actor. Anil Kapoor is an actor... Shatrughan Sinha was always among those who were overconfident. Shatrughan's biggest problem was that he never used to reach on time". 

Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan are great actors

Subhash Ghai said about Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan "There are other great actors and Dilip Kumar Sahab is one of them. He used to play a poorly written scene in such a way that people used to think it was a great scene. He would rise above a scene. Amitabh Bachchan is like that and sometimes Rishi Kapoor also used to act in the same way. His films may be bad but not his acting".
