Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak 2: The 1993 superhit film 'Khalnayak' (Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak) is still considered a milestone in Bollywood history. This film, starring Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff, was not only known for its strong acting and thrilling story, but also became a part of pop culture through songs like 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai'. The script is now complete

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has recently confirmed that the script of 'Khalnayak 2' has been completed and its star cast and technical team will be finalized soon. Talking to ETimes , he said, "Yes, the script is now complete and the rest of the cast and technicians will be finalized soon." There were discussions about the sequel of 'Khalnayak' in the film circles for a long time, but now it has been officially announced. Subhash Ghai had earlier also stressed that only Sanjay Dutt will play the character of Ballu Balram . He dismissed the rumors and clarified that no new actor is being searched for this character, but young actors will be chosen for new characters who will clash with Ballu.

According to sources, new actors will be cast in the lead roles in 'Khalnayak 2', while Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit will be seen doing cameos in the film. Although their characters will have small roles, they will contribute significantly in influencing the direction of the story. Subhash Ghai also said in an interview in 2024 that he wants to present a subject like 'Khalnayak' from the point of view of today's generation. He believes that subjects like crime and salvation are as relevant today as they were then.

'Khalnayak' not only took the concept of anti-hero to new heights in Bollywood, but also gave a new direction to Sanjay Dutt's career.
