Sunita Ahuja Reveals: Govinda Would Be a 'Beggar' Without Her Support

Earlier this year, news of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja's separation after 38 years of marriage surfaced online, causing concern among fans. Sunita had earlier dismissed those reports. Now, Sunita Ahuja has made a shocking revelation about her marriage.

Sunita Ahuja revealed about her marriage to Govinda

In fact, while talking about the speculations about her marriage with Govinda, Sunita Ahuja laughingly said, "I don't know who cast an evil eye on us. I will not let anyone take my husband away from me".

Sunita Ahuja's father was against the marriage

 In the same conversation, Sunita Ahuja recalled how her father was against her marriage. Sunita said, "He never wanted me to marry Govinda. He did not even come to my wedding. He knew what happened in the film industry. He wanted me to marry a businessman. He had also chosen a boy for me in Holland, but my love was true. I was 15 years old when I held Govinda's hand. That childhood love was like that, we both loved each other very much". 

Govinda's mother had said this

On the other hand, unlike Sunita Ahuja's father, Govinda's mother was very supportive of their relationship. Talking about this, Sunita said, "When I got married to Govinda, he lived with his big family, but I loved him. Even today, I am living at Govinda's house because of my mother-in-law. She wanted us to get married. She had told Govinda, 'Chichi, if you leave Sunita, you will become a beggar.' I remember this dialogue".

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in 1987

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in March 1987 when she was just 18 years old. Both are parents of Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan Ahuja. Sunita often shares pictures with Govinda and their children on social media, which shows their close family bond. Govinda was last seen in the film 'Rangeela Raja' in the year 2019, which failed at the box office.
