Sikandar Teaser: Bollywood actor Salman Khan is celebrating his 59th birthday today on 27 December 2024. At the same time, fans are eagerly waiting for the actor's upcoming film Sikandar. However, on Friday morning he announced that the teaser launch has now been postponed due to the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Let us tell you that Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sajid Nadiadwala production house and the force behind Sikandar, posted from its official X handle a few hours before the scheduled teaser launch on Friday morning at 11:07 am: “In view of the demise of our respected former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ji, we regret to announce that the release of the teaser of Sikandar has been postponed till 28th December 11:07 pm. Our condolences are with the nation in this hour of grief. Thank you for understanding. #TeamSikandar”.

This film will be released on the occasion of Eid next year i.e. in 2025. It is being directed by AR Murgadoss who made Aamir Khan-Asin starrer 'Ghajini' in 2008. South actress Rashmika Mandana will be seen with Salman for the first time in 'Sikander'.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away on 26 December

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday (26 December 2024). 92-year-old Manmohan Singh was admitted to Delhi AIIMS on Thursday itself. He was having trouble breathing. He served two terms as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014. He was first sworn in in 2004 after the Congress' victory against the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. He served his second term from 2009 to 2014. He was then replaced by PM Narendra Modi in 2014. A leading economist, Manmohan Singh also played an important role in shaping the New Economic Policy in 1991.
