According to industry tracker SacNilk, the film collected ₹8.25 crore (Tere Ishk Mein Collection) on its fourth day, i.e., its first Monday. The film's total Indian box office collection has reached ₹62.47 crore. On Monday, December 1, 2025, the film's overall Hindi occupancy was 16.28%, which is considered a strong performance for a working day.

Tere Ishq Mein Plot

The story begins with Shankar ( Dhanush ) , a student at Singhania College and the DUSU president, whose inability to control his anger often leads him to violence. He resorts to violence and dominance to maintain his hold on the college. Mukti (Kriti Sanon), also a student at the same college, is researching anger and human behavior for her thesis. One day, during a project presentation, she witnesses Shankar brutally assaulting a student. On the advice of a professor, she searches for a real-life subject and considers Shankar an ideal case for her research. Gradually, she helps him control his anger, and in this journey, Shankar begins to change from within. In the process, he falls deeply in love with Mukti, but Mukti does not love him. Then, seven years later, the story begins…this part makes the film emotionally profound and profound.

Talking about its budget, 'Tere Ishq Mein', produced by Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series Films, has been made for Rs 95 crore.

Development and Casting

Rai stated that the idea behind Tere Ishq Mein was to bring out the sensibilities of Raanjhanaa while appealing to a Gen Z audience. This film marks the third collaboration between Rai and Dhanush. Rai once again cast Dhanush because the actor falls within his creative "comfort zone." In January 2025, Kriti Sanon was cast as the female lead, replacing Sonam Kapoor. The story, screenplay, and dialogues were co-written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. The film is being described as a spiritual sequel to Raanjhanaa. Dhanush and Sanon were officially confirmed as the lead cast. Tere Ishq Mein was first announced in June 2023, but shooting didn't begin until October 2024, with the exception of a promo shoot, due to Dhanush's scheduling conflicts

Where did the shooting take place (Tere Ishk Mein Shooting Location)

Following the release of a promotional video shot for Raanjhanaa's 10th anniversary in June 2023, Tere Ishq Mein began filming in October 2024. The film was shot in Delhi and Varanasi, with Kriti Sanon joining the schedule in February 2025. Shooting wrapped in July 2025. Some scenes were shot at Shri Ram College of Commerce. In April 2025, the film's Leh schedule wrapped up. The final portion of shooting took place in Mumbai. The climax scene was shot over a week, which emotionally drained actress Kriti Sanon.

The film's soundtrack was composed by A.R. Rahman and the lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil. The audio rights were purchased by T-Series. The film's title song, "Tere Ishq Mein," was released on October 18, 2025. The second song, "Usi Kehna," was released on November 2, 2025. The Tamil version of the film's title song, "O Kadhale," was sung by Aditya RK, with lyrics written by Mashooq Rahman, and was released on October 29, 2025
