He reportedly said, "Muslims were insulted in the Iftar program organized by Vijay. We believe that the participation of drunkards and rowdies, who had nothing to do with fasting or Iftar, has insulted Muslims."

Legal action will be taken against Vijay 

Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamaat treasurer Syed Kaus also said the event was organised in a 'hurtful manner', accusing Vijay of 'not expressing regret' for organising the iftaar. He alleged the arrangements were not done properly and Vijay's 'foreign guards' insulted people, 'treating them like cows'. "Legal action should be taken against Vijay to ensure this doesn't happen again. We have not filed a complaint for publicity," he said.
