Talking about 'The Buckingham Murders', Kareena Kapoor Khan said in an interview, "I think I loved playing that role because this is the first time I am playing a detective and I am a big fan of crime dramas." While the actress admitted that the role was difficult to play as the character's grief made her uncomfortable, she also got a lot of joy from playing it. She said, "This is a career-defining role for me and one of my best characters." Along with this, Kareena told that she asked the director to make it a four-part series because she did not want to leave the character.
