The director gave statement regarding 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'

Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in the romantic comedy film 'Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'. The trailer of the film was released a few days ago and it caught the attention of many for its unique plot, where a private video of a newlywed couple gets stolen. Meanwhile, director Raj Shandilya has expressed his reaction about 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'.

In fact, director Raj Shandilya said in his latest interview that this film has been made 'for the middle class'. He said, "Our idea was that a large population of our country is shy, yet children are born every second. We are living in a world where any video can go viral in seconds. Therefore, we decided to make a film for the middle class that has a message with a lot of humor and romance. I also wanted to explore the plight of those at whose expense we laugh. We also wanted to explore how people from small towns would feel facing this dilemma".

Director Raj Shandilya also spoke about writing comedy and ensuring that it gets a good response. He said, "When I am writing, I am conscious that it should be something that most people will enjoy and not hurt anyone".

Makers accused of stealing the script of the film

Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri's film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' has been mired in controversies even before its release. Not only this, the makers have also received a legal notice regarding the film. The allegation is of stealing the story. Well-known producer Sanjay Tiwari and writer Gul Bano Khan have sent a legal notice to the makers of this film. Gul Bano Khan said, "I had registered the central idea of ​​'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' as a writer in SWA in 2015. A film was to be made on this, which Sanjay Tiwari was going to produce. But, due to some reasons, it got delayed. Therefore, we have sent a legal notice to all the makers of 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'".

'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' is directed by Raj Shandilya. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar. The story of the film revolves around the newlywed couple Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Tripti Dimri), who make a video of their honeymoon night and the CD gets stolen. Apart from Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri, 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' also stars Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raj, Rakesh Bedi, Archana Puran Singh, Tiku Talsania and Mukesh Tiwari. Vicky and Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is going to be released in theaters on October 11, where it will compete with Alia Bhatt's film Zirgra.
