Let us tell you that Ram Gopal Varma said in his recent interview, "Aamir Khan loves Forrest Gump. So Lal Singh Chaddha was like a dream project for him and he was making it in his mind. It could have been good or not, I don't know. But the thing is that when you reach the end, he is attracting such audiences who had never seen Forrest Gump."

Because of this, Lal Singh Chaddha flopped

 Ram Gopal Varma further added, "It was originally an Aamir Khan film. There should be no history behind it. So, the subject that Aamir took from Forrest Gump may not pique the interest of the audience, but these are all speculations anyway."

Lal Singh Chaddha was released in the year 2022 

Lal Singh Chaddha is a 2022 comedy drama film directed by Advait Chandan. The film is produced by Paramount Pictures, Aamir Khan Productions, and Viacom 18 Studios. It is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, itself an adaptation of Winston Groom's novel of the same name. The film Lal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan in the lead role, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh.

Ram Gopal Varma said this about mythological stories

Apart from this, Ram Gopal Varma talked about the upcoming Ramayana trilogy with Ranbir Kapoor and other similar projects. He said, " Making films on mythological stories is very dangerous. There are two reasons for this. If people know the stories and you try to make them different, it can have the opposite effect. You cannot do this in our country because people worship them".

Ram Gopal Varma gave the example of the film 'Adipurush'

While giving the example of Om Raut's film 'Adipurush', Ram Gopal Varma said, "If you look at Adipurush, it was more about Saif Ali Khan's look and Hanuman's look. Due to such constant criticism, it is very dangerous to take the subject from that shelf. Still, these filmmakers are trying their best and I wish them all the best".
